Tips for best results
- For legal or academic documents, the bottom-center position is the most conventional.
- Use the “Page X of Y” format when readers need to know total length — reports, manuals, theses.
- If your PDF starts with a cover or title page, set the starting number to 0 so the first counted page is the actual content.
- Font size 10–12 is standard for body documents. 14–16 works better for presentations.
- Page numbers are added as a new layer — they don’t alter the original PDF content underneath.
