Image Rotator — Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about using Image Rotator.

Is my image uploaded anywhere?

No. The rotation is applied entirely in your browser using Canvas. Your image never leaves your device.

Will rotation lose image quality?

90°, 180°, and 270° rotations are lossless — pixels are simply repositioned. Free-angle rotations require interpolation, which is high-quality but very slightly softens the image.

Why does my rotated image have transparent corners?

When you rotate a rectangle by a non-90° angle, the new bounding box is larger — the corners that would be empty are transparent. To get a clean rectangular result, crop after rotating, or stick to 90/180/270.

What image formats are supported?

JPG, PNG, WebP. Output is always PNG to preserve any transparency created by the rotation.

Can I rotate multiple images at once?

Not in this tool — it focuses on single-image rotation with live preview. For batch rotation, contact us or use a desktop tool like ImageMagick.
